Nik & Friends Go: Clay Shooting

For my second ‘Nik & Friends Go:’ event, we did something I’d never done before – clay shooting.

Here’s the run down:

For my events, I try to make them as easy and enjoyable as possible. Clear schedule, easy payment, walk-on/walk-off type availability (no waiting), struggle-free environment, and, of course, name tags and ice breakers.

We went to Garland Mountain Sporting Clays and Grill in North Georgia, about one hour north of Atlanta. I booked the event through their events director. This ensured we did not have to wait for golf carts or equipment when we arrived. Guaranteed availability was important since many of us were driving over an hour for the experience.

Since it was my first time, I knew I wanted some help through the afternoon so I booked a shooting guide through the venue. The gruff, bearded shoot guide bounced between groups giving tips and tricks ensuring everyone hit a few targets.

Post-event survey results: (yes, I send a survey after every event)

  • How likely is it you would recommend one of my events to a friend? –  100%
  • Did you meet someone new? – 100%

Overall, a super fun event. Really stoked about the video turned out too!
