I’ve recently created a Tumblr account that focuses in on Atlanta. I don’t create as much content as I’d like to but I do reblog tons of awesome Atlanta photos and stories. I knew Atlanta had some great features but since starting this Tumblr, it’s going to be really hard to leave, if I ever do.
I never knew much about Tumblr until starting on this venture and I still don’t know much. It’s a really interesting cross between WordPress and Twitter. I’ve seen it described as “Social Blogging” and that seems to be a really great description of it. Every aspect of Tumblr is interactive. I can reblog posts, which is the same as retweeting. I can <3 posts, the same as liking on Facebook. And, most importantly, create my own posts.
At the time of this writing, I currently have 73 followers which I’m really excited about. I only know 2 of them! Atlanta Magazine, Creative Loafing, and Midtown Archive are just a few of the prominent Atlanta Tumblr accounts that follow me.
